Pizza Maru & Katsuya West is a dual-concept Korean pizza and Japanese katsu restaurant at #345, 922 85 St SW in West Springs. We pair Pizza Maru’s specialty pizzas on signature green tea chlorella dough with Katsuya’s crispy Japanese fusion katsu, served for dine-in, takeout and online ordering to neighbours across southwest Calgary.
Pizza Maru opened its first Calgary location in NW Royal Oak in December 2023, introducing the city to Korean-style pizza made on a green-hued crust enriched with green tea and chlorella. The success of that store led the same locally operated team to bring Korean pizza, and a brand-new katsu kitchen, to Calgary’s west side.
Pizza Maru & Katsuya West celebrated its grand opening on September 5, 2026 as the brand’s second Calgary location and a true dual-concept spot. Under one roof you’ll find Pizza Maru, the international Korean pizza brand behind Bulgogi Pizza, Honey Sweet Potato Pizza, Korean Surf ’n’ Turf and Maru Best, and Katsuya, a Japanese fusion concept known for Brick Cheese Katsu, Carbonara Katsu and Garlic Chili Katsu. It’s Korean and Japanese comfort food made for everyday family meals, gatherings and takeout.

No joke, this place is one of the best pizza restaurants in the city. Plus they have tons of other selections. Everything I’ve tried was excellent and reasonably priced.
